Taking photos of nature is something I love to do, it relaxes me, and is a way I can preserve the precious moments of tranquility surrounded by nature, a breather away from a busy life. While my preferred style of photography is in the studio, it feels great to be out and about exploring wildlife, from long walks in the bush, to breathtaking views of this beautiful world, being able to take photos along the way is a bonus. I plan to make more time for tramping, and so photos will be coming when I do! but until then, here are a few shots from some short walks technically outside the city, but in most of New Zealand, this is usually literally only about five to ten minutes out-of-town! (which is fantastic!).

I have been so bad at keeping up with my blog posts! With Twitter, Instagram and Facebook all on the go, along with planning and installing for Light Nelson I haven’t had much spare time! Anyway, I thought I would share some of the images I have taken at this years event (as it was spectacular!) but also a privilege to be a part of featuring a giant wave titled Synthetic Nature, that I and two friends, Chelsea and Bethan created for the 2016 festival.
